Romi's Brew & BBQ is the kind of place that blends hearty American barbecue with casual breakfast fare, tucked conveniently on the highway in Nice, CA. It’s a laid-back spot where locals and visitors alike settle in to enjoy a meal that feels both comforting and straightforward, with a sports bar twist that keeps the energy up without being overwhelming.

The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, with a mix of patio seating and indoor tables making it suitable whether you want to linger over a morning stack of fluffy blueberry or chocolate chip pancakes, or catch the game alongside a cold beer and a plate of smoked ribs. The service tends to be friendly and familiar, adding to the hometown vibe.

Barbecue is clearly the star here — the menu offers a variety of smoked meats like tri-tip, pulled pork with mac n’ cheese, brisket plates, and ribs, often enhanced by house-made sauces ranging from tangy to sweet. These options pair well with sides like garlic bread or clam chowder, helping round out the experience beyond simple BBQ staples.

Visitors with diverse tastes will appreciate the crossover options too: seafood tacos, fish and chips, or even more elevated pasta dishes like salmon fettuccini or shrimp scampi show some range beyond the standard smokehouse fare. Breakfast items invite a slower, more casual start, making Romi's a fitting spot for weekend mornings or an early afternoon break.

This spot works well for those road-tripping through the area who want a reliable stop that combines comforting barbecue with the option for breakfast or lunch, and a casual place to relax. The patio seating is pleasant for a sunny day, while indoor tables near the TVs add a low-key energy during sports events in the evenings. It’s the kind of neighborhood joint you might come back to when you want solid food without fuss, paired with cold drinks and laid-back company.

Driving home after the long 4th of July weekend. Stop for a sandwich and got a wrap instead. Excellent all around set out on the patio. Nice way to end a weekend

Friendly waitress. Definitely a hometown feel to it. The corn on the cob was really good and so was the pulled pork (with some delicious South Carolina mustard-based BBQ). The garlic bread, outstanding. The trip-tip, a bit dry for me. If you're visiting, check it out.

We came here for a one‑week vacation, hoping to experience an authentic local breakfast. We tried asking AI for recommendations but couldn’t find a restaurant that felt right. In the end, we decided to give up driving and just wander around on foot, hoping to stumble upon something by chance. That’s how we discovered this charming little restaurant. The sign on the door said it opened from 8:00 to 8:30, but when we passed by at 8:31, the place was still dark inside. However, we noticed smoke rising from the BBQ grill and the air was filled with a delicious aroma. Eventually, we found someone who seemed to work there, and he told us the restaurant would actually open at 9:00. So we spent the next half hour exploring the lake behind the restaurant, enjoying the scenery, and chatting with some people fishing. It turned out to be a very fulfilling wait. Sure enough, the restaurant opened right at 9:00. Wow—we were so glad we had waited, because we ended up enjoying a truly authentic and delicious American breakfast, served by a warm and friendly owner, surrounded by lovely fellow guests. We had such a wonderful and unforgettable breakfast experience there.

Yes I tried Mexican nachos at a bbq restaurant but it was very good. Always enjoyed their burgers and now have a choice. Wife had deep fried fish sandwich, may try the grilled snapper next. Beer is ice cold as it should be.

This barbecue place was a quarter mile from my WorldMark, so it was a convenient drive and future walk. The menu selection is inviting, and I had a salad and the mushroom burger. But, I do plan on ordering their barbecue beef brisket and ribs the next time.

Went in this morning. Was quiet. We had a great breakfast of Brisket and Eggs. Staff was very friendly. Would recommend, we'll be back when we travel along 20.
